Bernadette McCarthy's poetry has appeared in journals, including Agenda, Crannóg, The London Magazine, Poetry International, Poetry Ireland Review, and Southword, as well as in anthologies and broadsheet newspapers.

Her chapbook 'Bog Arabic' was published by Southword Editions in 2018 and was described by the PBS Summer Bulletin as 'a compelling meditation on otherness, language and culture...examining the facets of difference.' It can be purchased here.

She lives in rural Cork and has a PhD in early medieval archaeology.
